To strengthen our team at Woodsmith Mine in Whitby, North Yorkshire, we are currently looking for a Planning Engineer Civil.

Designs and implements shaft sinking with mechanised SBR technology.
To produce construction methods based on design.
Maintains high level expertise in shaft sinking sector.
Develops solutions to engineering and other field related issues that arise from the execution of project installation activities.
Provide timely and complete resolution to technical questions and requests for information.
Maintain Project As-Built drawings.
Ensures compliance with job specifications.
Preparation of technical specifications, technical queries, Standard operating procedures, technical assignments for shaft sinking and horizontal drifts.
Reading and studying of construction project, design and construction documentation for mine excavation.
Providing input data and technical assignments to allied departments, contractors and subcontractors (using MS office, AutoCAD, 3D-Cad, Excel, etc.).
Preparation of drawings and schedules of cycle of sinking (MS project, P6 Primavera).
Knowledge of and experience with EN, DIN etc. requirements for technological and construction parts of project.
Reporting to Engineering Manager.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Data analytics skills and experience.
Attention to detail.
Flexible thinking, including the ability to pivot and try new approaches when faced with challenges.
Experience using System Applications and Products (SAP) software.

Mining or Civil Engineer.
3 years relevant work experience.
Postgraduate qualification preferred.
CEng or the willingness to progress.
Fluent English speaker.
Ability to speak another language or to be willing to learn.
