What documents are required in an application?

We are looking forward to receiving a meaningful CV, a cover letter as well as all relevant references and certificates from you.

Mining doesn't exist anymore, why should I do an apprenticeship at RD?

This is wrong, there is no more coal mining in Germany. Otherwise, mining has not been abolished, mines are of course still active for the extraction of salt, potash salts and other minerals and raw materials.

What file format should my documents have?

Save your documents as PDF. This way we can ensure that we receive all documents in the correct format. The files should not exceed 10 MB in size.

Should I send my application by e-mail or by mail?

Please use our dedicated application form.

How long does an interview usually take?

As a rule, an interview with us lasts between 30 - 60 minutes.

How long does it take to get a response to my application?

You will receive feedback from us in a timely manner.

For the operational area

We are looking forward to receiving a meaningful CV as well as all relevant references and certificates from you. A cover letter is not mandatory.

We welcome applications from candidates with and without mining experience. While this can be an advantage, it is not mandatory.

Regarding general positions, there are no specific application deadlines. As long as the position is advertised, you are welcome to apply via application form. You can apply on your own initiative at any time.

Yes - for an assignment as a miner, shaft worker, locksmith, hoisting machine operator or electrician, a willingness to work as an assembler is necessary, as there may be assignments in Germany and other European countries.

Yes, employee reviews are held in the spring of each year. New team members receive their first performance review after 3 months.

The required qualifications and experience are listed in the respective job advertisements under "What you bring to the table". Experience in mining is an advantage, but not mandatory.

Our working week is 40 hours in a flexitime model. Home office is possible on 1-2 days per week after consultation with the respective supervisor.

For the training

Please make sure that your application is complete. Missing documents and data (e.g. CV, date of birth, e-mail address, etc.) delay the process and indicate an inaccurate way of working.

Of course, you have to accept our special conditions. If you are willing to do assembly work, are reliable, and have a technical interest, you already have a good basis.

If you are not yet of age, your legal representatives (usually your parents) must sign the training contract / internship agreement together with you.
